If you’re walking around the Faculty of Business and Economics in Pécs and hear that the Kappas are attending an event, you can be sure it’s already worth checking out. But if someone invites you to a Kappa event, missing it is simply not an option. Why is that?
The Kappa Tau Beta student association was founded in 2010 by two enthusiastic students, both named Áron, with the aim of bringing the Greek-style fraternity tradition — which has been thriving in the United States for centuries — to Hungary. At its heart, the association is about creating a close-knit community whose members can always count on their fellow brothers, while bringing colour, energy, and a little more fun to everyday life on campus.
The Kappas are students who actively shape life at the Faculty of Business and Economics. They organise various events, represent the Faculty at university programmes, and, most importantly, are among the driving forces of our student community.
One of our main goals is to make university life more exciting through unique and unconventional events. At the same time, giving back to our community is equally important to us. We take action for our fellow students, our Faculty, the city of Pécs, and our environment.
We don’t have a traditional application form. We’re always keeping an eye out for potential new members across the Faculty and, after careful observation, select our candidates behind the scenes. So the opportunity is open to everyone — the only question is: can you catch our attention?
