The Student Demonstrators’ Association (DDK) of the Medical School at the University of Pécs is a professional community that provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to actively participate in the teaching activities of institutes, clinics, and departments. The student demonstrator programme aims to help students deepen their academic knowledge while developing their teaching and communication skills and gaining first-hand experience in higher education.
Through their work, student demonstrators support teaching staff in preparing and delivering practical classes and help their fellow students understand and master course material more effectively.
One of the primary goals of the Student Demonstrators’ Association is to support the professional development of students interested in teaching. DDK regularly organises workshops, skills development programmes, and professional events that promote the acquisition of modern teaching methodologies while providing opportunities for exchanging experiences and building a strong professional community.
Student demonstrator activities are closely connected to the work of the Scientific Students’ Association (TDK), while also offering an independent development pathway for students considering a long-term career in teaching or academia. Outstanding student demonstrators have the opportunity to present their work at Faculty teaching workshops and at national and international educational conferences.
