The University Research Scholarship Programme (EKÖP) supports the professional development and Talent Management of students, early-career lecturers, and researchers who demonstrate outstanding research and creative achievements.
The Ministry of Culture and Innovation provides funding from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund (NRDI Fund) through the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDI Office) to the University of Pécs for the establishment and operation of the University Research Scholarship Programme (EKÖP), in accordance with Government Decree No. 24/2013 (II. 5.) on National Excellence in Higher Education.
The primary objective of the University Research Scholarship Programme (EKÖP) is to support the next generation of university lecturers and researchers, contribute to the development of research and development professionals for innovative Hungarian enterprises, and engage the most talented students in higher education Talent Management.
The scholarship calls announced under the Programme for 2026 support excellence in higher education by providing funding for bachelor’s, master’s, undivided (long-cycle), and doctoral students, as well as early-career lecturers and researchers who carry out outstanding research and creative activities at their higher education institution.
